History of Ox Hill

Ox Hill Community Agricultural Fair was established in 1936. In 2021, Ox Hill acquired a new location for its annual events. From an overgrown, abandoned sawmill, we turned it into the fairgrounds you see today! Thousands of hours have been put into the construction and rebuilding of Ox Hill. Phases I and II were completed in 2021, with the help of many contributions. New track events were also added such as Truck Tug of War and Drag Racing. This was the first year introducing two sleds during the tractor pull.

2022 brought the planning of Phase III, along with the introduction of the Elderton State Bank Stage, a tent for picnic tables, and a completed regulation-sized horse arena. We also brought back Department 2 with cattle exhibits.

Our third year at the Mahoning Road location, we teamed with CS Pulling Promotions for the Saturday night truck and tractor pull, as well as our other track events and entertainment. 2023 allowed more progress on the property, with the addition of a men's/women's restroom and pavilion. The grounds received some updates such as adding/replacing lights, planting grass, adding a ceiling to the exhibit building, adding a floor to the general admissions stand, building up the vendor area, adding gravel to key areas and planting.

We look forward to watching Ox Hill continue to grow and become a memorable experience for all who visits!
